Waiting on Wednesday #21: INTO THE WATER - by Paula Hawkins

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme originally hosted by Breaking the Spine and now taken over by Wishful Endings that highlights upcoming book releases we're excited to read. On my blog, I include movies as well.

Into the Water - by Paula Hawkins

Release Date: May 2nd 2017.

A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. Left behind is a lonely fifteen-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother’s sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from—a place to which she vowed she’d never return.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN. So it makes perfect sense that I'll adore this book as well. The premise is amazing, Hawkins's writing is beyond amazing, and I NEED THIS.

Anyone else excited for Into the Water?

  3. I bought Girl on a Train and then ended up watching the movie before reading the book so now it will be a while before I get to it. I'm sure the book was better. I do agree the cover on this one is stunning and it's already on my wishlist!

  11. Oh, Amy, I have to be honest and tell you that this is not the type of book I enjoy reading..... There are three genres I totally avoid: horror, thrillers, and erotica. This one is a thriller. I just can't take this kind of thing, since I'm a very sensitive person.... I'm the type that actually SOBS when watching a sad movie. People will turn around and look at me! Lol. So I know this book is not for me....

I just looked up "The Girl on the Train" on Goodreads. From the reviews I read there, I could see that the book is very well written, and the author builds up tension very nicely. Again, though, this is just not my type of read.

Thanks for featuring this book though! I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as "The Girl on the Train"! Thanks as well for stopping by and commenting on my "Can't Wait Wednesday" post!! Hope you're having an AWESOME week!! HUGS!!!! <3 <3 :) :)

    1. Ah no, so sorry to hear that :( But I'm definitely with you on horror and erotica. Ewwww....
But we all have different tastes, and that's awesome, so you're definitely allowed to not like it! Lol <3

It is very well written :)

Thanks for stopping by and commenting even though this isn't your kind of book! That means a lot <3
      Thank you!
      My pleasure :)
Thanks, you tooooooooo!! <3 <3 HUGS BACK!!
