Waiting on Wednesday #9: PASSENGERS (film)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases we're excited to read. And on A Magical World Of Words, I include movies as well.

Passengers / Cast: Jennifer Lawrence; Chris Pratt. / Release Date: 23 December 2016. Trailer

What I've Been Up To: Reading, Watching, Writing, LIFE

How's your week been?
You may have noticed that I've changed a few fonts on my blog, and changed the layout of my reviews. The change of review layouts was because I wanted them to look more professional and easy to read, and basically easier for me as well because too many colours and pictures and fonts can make your whole post start getting jumpy and HTML gets messed up, and YEAH.
I just had to fix that ;)

Things Writers Can Relate To / Writing: Gift or Curse?!

Another post keeping with the NaNo theme.
For those of you who love to write, which of the things I've listed below are things you've experienced or been faced with or can just basically relate to? Let's chat, writers!

Waiting on Wednesday #8: Lost Girl - by Chanda Hahn

Goodreads: Lost Girl

Release Date: 13 December 2016.

Author: Chanda Hahn

What I've Been Up To: Reading, Watching, Writing

   How has your week been?

I'm still writing hectically for NaNo, but I did manage to watch a movie and start a new book, so I'm feeling happy :)
(And guilty....)

Writing Resources: Writers, you CANNOT afford to miss these helpful sources!

In honour of NaNoWriMo, I'm going to introduce to all you writers who don't already know about them, some TERRIFIC AND AMAZINGLY helpful sites and sources to aid you in your writing. I kid you not, most of them have totally revolutionised my writing style and structure, and each one is a gold mine.

Waiting on Wednesday #7: La La Land (film)

IMDB: La La Land

Cast: Ryan Gosling; Emma Stone.

Release Date: 2 December.

Trailer: La La Land

What I've Been Up To: Reading, Watching, Writing...

I hope you've all had a fantastic week :) For the readers, I hope you've sold your soul to some beautiful characters and stories; to the watchers, I hope you've been carried away (but not too far) by some awesome movies; and for the writers, I hope you've nailed some serious words for NaNoWriMo ;)

Book Vs. Movie #2: Twilight - by Stephenie Meyer

Did Meyer beat all else with the novel, or did Catherine Hardwicke's  2008 film adaption knock the book out of the park?

And please don't hate on Twilight; I'm comparing the book and movie, and I am NOT ranting - and nor do I wish you to rant - about how awful you might think it is. Twilight's had enough hate; let's give it a break, please :)

Waiting on Wednesday #6: Lyrebird - by Cecelia Ahern

Goodreads: Lyrebird

Author: Cecelia Ahern

Release Date: 8 November 2016.

What I've Been Reading and Watching: and VERY IMPORTANT news

Hope you've all had a great week! Mine's been busy, since I've spent most of my time writing for NaNoWriMo :)

THE HELP (film) was a masterpiece that boasted a magnificent ensemble of leading ladies

Cast: Viola Davis; Jessica Chastain; Emma Stone; Octavia Spencer; Bryce Dallas Howard; Allison Janney.
Year: 2011.
Director: Tate Taylor.
Content Rating: PG 13 for thematic material.
Source: Bought.
IMDB: The Help

An aspiring author during the civil rights movement of the 1960s decides to write a book detailing the African American maids' point of view on the white families for which they work, and the hardships they go through on a daily basis.

The Help was phenomenal, and has easily become one of my favourite films.

What I've Been Writing: It's NaNoWrimo! How's your writing going?!

It's NaNoWrimo, people! The month of writing constantly, struggling to reach 50k words, gulping down coffee, buying more chocolate than you probably should, and excelling at procrastination.

So far, for me, writing for NaNo this November has meant blood, sweat and tears (minus the blood, minus the sweat, double the tears) but I am just SO glad I outlined months before. It's made a world of difference.
