Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Purple Booker that allows you to share a few sentences from the book you're currently reading. Don't include spoilers!
My Teaser today is from A Court of Thorns and Roses, by Sarah J. Maas.
For context: It's loosely based on Beauty and the Beast, and the following conversation is between Tamlin and Feyre, after she's been captured and taken to his manor house. He's Fae, she's human. And at this point they're still warming up to each other.
Note: The Bogge is a vicious, beastly, creature thing ;)
Have you read ACOTAR? What are you "teasering" today?
Noooooooooo! I hate that you aren't enjoying it! :( Big sads.
ReplyDeleteI KNOOOOOOOOWWW!! *sobs* What is it with me and Maas?!
DeleteYou still have to try book 2... No matter what. ;)
DeleteOh I definitely will! (I want more Rhys <3)
DeleteI haven't tried reading Maas yet. Hope it gets better for you. Thanks for coming by my teaser.
ReplyDeleteYou should start :) The Throne of Glass series is quite good. Thanks, I hope so too! Sure :)
DeleteOh bummer! I love this series! Ironically her other Throne of Glass books I couldn't get into whatsoever either. Sad that you aren't enjoying this one. I still need to read book 2, which I heard was a lot better!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Ah I know! Glad you enjoyed it though! Oh shame, I actually prefer the ToG series....I think. I kinda have a love-hate thing with Maas! Lol.
DeleteYeah, I heard Book 2 was better too, so I'll definitely go on to read that next.
Thanks for stopping by!
Oh no. Sad that you aren't liking it so far :/ I haven't yet read it so can't really express my views, but you shared a really cool snippet :)
ReplyDeletePrabhleen @ Booksarelife987
Thanks :( Glad you liked the snippet!
DeleteThanks for stopping by, have a lovely day :)
I really liked this book but I hated the sequel, so I can kind of see where you're coming from. The characters didn't do it for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you did! I'm definitely going to read the sequel, so I'll be visiting your review of it again - closer to the time - and then I'll see your points :)
DeleteMy main issue with this book is Tamlin. I really don't like him :(
Eeeep! Awesome teaser! I am definitely planning on reading ACOTAR and ACOMAF before the third book comes out this year ^_^
ReplyDeleteBrittany @ Brittany's Book Rambles
Thanks!! Oooh yes, hope you get to them! I am also determined to finish those two before the third one comes out.
DeleteAh! Dont give up on it just yet! It definitely gets better toward the end, and the second book is truly fantastic! ... at least I think so lol. But I do get what you mean, the beginning isn't really that realistic but ... but .... please keep reading. (can you tell this is one of my favourite books lol)
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah it is definitely improving, and I am LOVING the end, so there's hope!
DeleteLol, yeah I'm keeping going! Glad you loved it so much, and thanks for the lovely comment! I WILL KEEP READING!!! <3
I didn't like this book so don't feel bad (either way). It got rape-y towards the end and I couldn't get over that. Oh well! Hopefully you enjoy it overall. =)
ReplyDeleteAlyssa @ The Eater of Books!
WHEW! Then I'm not alone ;) Lol.
DeleteYeah, the end got a bit questionable, but to be honest, my issue is with Tamlin, not Rhys.
This is a great teaser for the book, but it's unfortunate you don't like it :(:( It does get better though!!
ReplyDelete~ Pendragons
Thanks! Yeah, it definitely does get better, whew!
DeleteThanks for stopping by :)
I'm not a big fan of ACOTAR but love ACOMAF! Keep going! It gets better! (If nothing else Rhys is worth the wait! XD)
ReplyDeleteI love this idea! I might have to try it on my blog ^.^
Stephanie @ adventures thru wonderland: http://adventuresthruwonderland.blogspot.com/
I will definitely keep going! (I need more Rhys, lol!).
DeleteIt is cool! And very simple and quick to do, too ;)
Thanks for stopping by!
