Weekly Round-Up: Amazing book mail!

I'm doing my weekly round-up today because tomorrow I have a blog tour post going up :)

Announcement: The winner of my 100 GFC followers giveaway is Aneta! She's been contacted and has chosen her book. For the rest of you, stay tuned! When I hit 150 GFC followers, I'll be giving away a movie...

I've been on holiday this week, so I've had a lot of time to read and write. I've been editing my 2016 NaNo novel, and although it's a ton of work (editing is NOT pretty, I tell you) it's been very rewarding to see things come together. And it's also kinda shocking to see how my writing's changed since I wrote that first draft...

In other news, I'm on this medication for my acne and it has horrible side effects that are making my life torture.  My nose bleeds nearly all the time, and since my lips are cracked and split, they're literally shredded now. But I know things could be worse, so I'm trying to suck it up ;)  It's so annoying, though. And painful.

I watched Arrival yesterday, which is a film I have been dying to see for months. My review will be up on Tuesday.

Posts of the week:

I'm buddy-reading Heartless with Aneesa @ A Crave For Books. I'm not loving it, but it's fun and relaxing :)
I'm also currently reading Pushing Perfect, which isn't a book I'd usually pick up, but I'm enjoying it so far.
I'll be finishing it today, and then I'm starting Frostfire.

I finished two books this week (reviews will be up on Sunday and Monday): Perfect and Darkthaw. One was amazing, and the other was very disappointing.

I was so spoiled this week by a GORGEOUS pile of book mail that I wasn't even expecting! (Except for Perfect.) All of these books look so deep and wonderful and tragic, and I can't wait to dig into them. They'll probably break my heart, but they just look so beautiful <3

Di and Uma share their Blog Squad posts: Part VII and Part 7

Have you had a good week? What have you watched or read?

  9. The side effects of the meds sound terrible. I hope those wear off and don't last the entire time you take the meds!

  11. I'm sorry the medication has such bad side effects, that's really annoying. I have to take hormones and they mess with mes as well and it just... blah! It got better over time, so I hope yours ease off soon!
