So sorry my round-up is late today, guys! I just got back from spending the day with family.
Well. Here's my week:
It was pretty chilled, I guess, and I forced myself to ease up a bit on the blogging. That turned out really well, actually, and I'm feeling a lot more relaxed; instead of blogging every day, I found myself binge watching TV series and movies (on Friday it was a Marvel marathon: Thor, Spidey, Civil War...the works.) It was a wonderful break.
The only bad news is that bookstagram is still causing me extreme anguish, and I also didn't get much reading done this week AT ALL. Bad, I know. But I'm hoping to redeem myself this coming week.
Posts of the week:
Waiting on Wednesday #36
The Blog Squad - Part 13
Passenger is dragging for me, and I'm not loving it so far :( A Gleam of Light isn't bad, but I'm not loving that either.
I finished a terrifying thriller this week (400 PAGES IN A DAY AND A HALF) and my review will be up this coming week. It was good, but hectic.
Next Up...
On Monday, Di and I start buddy-reading Shadow and Bone! So excited!

Brooklyn reviews To All The Boys I've Loved Before
Aneta reviews Truthwitch
Abigail talks about Change
Olivia reviews When Dimple Met Rishi
Caitlin talks about "What is a strong female character, really?"

What happened in your week? What have you been reading or watching?
Thank you for linking to my review :) Shadow and Bone sounds exciting, can't wait to hear what you thought! I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSure :)
DeleteIt does! I hope I love it!
Thanks Olivia, you too :)
Ooh, I can't wait to read your review for The Fourth Monkey! I had a bit of a weird week as well, but I have spent today catching up and getting organized for the week.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYay that's great :) Taking a bit of break now and then does feel a bit weird, but it's also really good.
Eeep, thank you so much for sharing my post in your post! I didn't expect that at all, one bit. I'm glad this week is better! Bingewatching all the Marvel movies is fun but gets tiring after awhile. Have you ever tried bingewatching Lord of the Rings but made stationed food breaks that are Hobbit-meal styled? You should try it some time-- I think you'll have fun. xD

Sure! It was a great post :)
DeleteI haven't tried that, but now I want to! Thanks for the idea - that sounds awesome ;)
Your Marvel marathon sounds fabulous! :D (By the way, I wanted to compliment you on your Bookstagram photos. They're really beautiful!) I hope you have an even better week this week! <3
ReplyDeleteIt so was!!
DeleteAwww thank you, that means a lot <3
Hope you've had a good week, Melissa :)
Awh, thanks for the mention! I hope you enjoy Shadow and Bone, I quite liked it but am yet to read the rest of the trilogy. I'm glad you're feeling a bit more relaxed about blogging, it's definitely hard to ease up but so worth it.
ReplyDeletePleasure :)
DeleteThanks, I hope so too.
So true!
Have a lovely weekend, Brooklyn :)
I'd have DNFed both of those books by now but I know not everyone finds it easy to do that! I really need to step up the reading as I'm behind on where I want to be. Taking 13 days to read two Game of Thrones books did not help!
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah! I have a personal rule though, that I never DNF a book ;)
DeleteLol! I can imagine!
Amy! You give up blogging so much and then take on Bookstagram. Ha ha. You are too funny. You need to ease up on ALL THE THINGS and not be so hard on yourself.
ReplyDeletePassenger was definitely a slow starter for me, but the last half of the book definitely came along a lot better.
So excited for our buddy read! I just love chatting about books with you!
Oh Di. I just can't win 😁😁
DeleteGlad to hear it! Hopefully I'll enjoy it more soon :)
Yay!! It's been so great so far! And you are awesome to chat with <3
Ooh, Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on passenger - its been on my TBR pile for awhile now. Otherwise happy to hear it was a relaxed week, Movie Binges are awesome! Especially Marvel themed ones :)
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteIt was! Thanks!
Have a lovely weekend, Sarah :)
Ugh don't worry about it, Bookstagram used to make me SO angry because I never got pretty pics so I just stopped and then created a new account. From time to time an idea will hit me and I'll take a pic :P My pics are nowhere near as good as everyone else's but they're much better! Seriously don't stress :D

IKR??! But that's so encouraging too hear, thank you. Thanks Kariny :) <3
DeleteOH YAY, Shadow and Bone! It's one of my faves so I kind of hope you'll both love it ;)
ReplyDeleteYour Marvel binge marathon sounds awesome! May need one of those myself soon haha!
And I understand your feelings about Passenger. I liked but didn't love it when I read it and now that the sequel is out I'm having trouble convincing myself to pick it up... so I don't think I will anytime soon. *oops* :)
Hope you'll have an amazing week!
Yay I'm so glad you loved it!
DeleteHaha do! It's so awesome :)
I'm feeling that :( Sorry you were disappointed too.
Thanks Lindsey, you too!
